Welcome back, returning German Saturday School students, and a BIG welcome to our new students!

The 2016 school year was off to a good start last Saturday, by all accounts, as our students arrived to meet their classmates and teachers. You may have noticed that many primary students have the same teacher as last year. This year Magdalena and the teachers decided that it was a good idea to provide most of the children with the continuity offered by a familiar classroom, classmates, and teacher.

But nothing stays the same for too long. At our Christmas party in December we were sad to say goodbye to a few teachers. But we’re thrilled to welcome to our teaching staff some new faces who we’ll introduce in more detail as the term progresses. They include Vicki Drozdowski who will be teaching years 6, 7, and 8 and David Blencowe who will teach a different class of years 6 and 7. Other changes include two assistants moving up to the roles of teachers: Kieran MacFarlane, Years 3 and 4 and Karina Anders, Foundation. New assistants are Amra Polutak and former student Sanda Naing. It’s going to be a great year!
